Birthday Day Trip | New Orleans, Louisiana

Going to New Orleans for Jeff's birthday has become a tradition. It really is just that fun every time we go!

This year, three of Jeff's best friends joined us to celebrate. And for just a day there, we made every bit of it count. So as soon as we got there, we headed straight to a liquor store.  🎉

On our way there, we did make a couple quick stops: saw Brandan Odums' new mural in the Bywater neighborhood and of course, Cafe Du Monde (a NOLA "must"). The rest was really just drinking. 🙃 This time, our favorite spot was Jester Mardi Gras Daiquiris — their drink specials and service were the best! (Justin, you were awesome 🙌)

OK so if you've kept up with my blog, BIG NEWS: Jeff JUST started drinking again! 🍾 And so he went a lil' too H.A.M. our first go around Bourbon... (just like the other boys haha) But hey, it was his birthday!

After of first run through Bourbon Street, we did take a short break (naptime), before heading out again — this time with beer, hand grenade cocktails and to finally get some food! (We had not eaten since Cafe Du Monde 😑)

Y'all, it's very easy to get distracted on Bourbon Street. Seriously, EVERY TIME we were headed to some food, we'd end up somewhere else — drinking. When we finally 'realized' we all REALLY needed food, it was 9 PM. 😳 And were all a mess.

Thanks to Bam, we all headed to Coop's Place in the French Quarter for dinner/our first real meal! (BTW, we recommend the shrimp po' boy there! *not pictured*). Later, we also stopped by 13 Monaghan for their Tater Tachos and frozen Irish coffee to end our night — so bomb! (see below)

Besides the food, the rest of our trip wasn't anything too new, but it was still one for the books! Here's a few more (PG-13) highlights from our night:

Funniest thing we overheard this trip:
"Girl you better quit rubbin' on me before you get pregnant!" — N/A 😂
